This partnership is in line with the Governor Aiyedatiwa-led administration's vision of achieving food security and creating job opportunities for the youth.

Mr. Wemimo Akinsola, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture and Agribusiness, shared this information while hosting the management team of ZNT AgriHub in his office at Alagbaka, Akure.

Mr Akinsola who stated that the project is to develop an agriculture template of cultivating more than two thousand hectares of land in each Senatorial Districts of the state in line with the executive order of Mr Governor and bring agricultural business to the people.

“This initiative represents a major step towards achieving the state government’s objective of agricultural sustainability and economic growth.”

“The partnership with ZNT AgriHub, OSACA, and other key stakeholders is anticipated to play a crucial role in transforming the state into a food-secure region while equipping farmers with advanced skills and resources,” he said.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor revealed that the government has instructed that communities release land for the projects, assuring that they will be adequately compensated. He also called for increased cooperation from the people of the state to ensure the success of the program.

In her remarks, ZNT AgriHub's Chief Executive Officer and team leader, Zainab Suleiman, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting the state’s agricultural revolution through technical expertise, research, and innovation. She emphasized the company’s ability to help local farmers adopt mechanized farming, which is crucial for boosting productivity and ensuring a sustainable food supply in the state.

Mrs. Suleiman further explained that the company works closely with farmers to ensure a high return on investment (ROI) for agricultural businesses by applying proven models and advanced technology. This collaboration is aimed at empowering farmers, increasing productivity, and promoting sustainable agricultural growth, which aligns with the current administration’s efforts in the state.

She, therefore, emphasised the importance of the partnership in addressing challenges faced by farmers and enhancing technical know-how through training programmes.

In his own remarks, the Chairman of OSACA, Chief Adejo Abiodun noted the projects will not only empower the farmers across the state but will also help to boost food production.
